This one comes from Patti in St Louis Mo. Thanks pat hope ur stayin warm. I like the sound of this one all but the ZU-ICKY but other than that it's got that mexican flare, almost a mol'e of sorts can't wait to try this one minus the ZU-ICKY.
3 tbsp olive oil
2 lb. ground turkey
2 onions, chopped
2 zucchini squash, diced
3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
2 tbsp chili powder
2 tbsp ground cumin
1 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp each, salt & blk. pepper
3 28 oz cans diced tomatoes, undrained
3 15 oz cans black beans, drained & rinsed
2 oz bitter-sweet chocolate
In large skillet, heat oil over med-high heat. Cook turkey until browned. Remove from pan. In skillet, add onion & zucchini. Cook over mediun heat, stirring occasionally, 6-8 minutes. Add garlic, chili powder, cumin, oregano, salt & pepper. Cook & stir 1 minute Add turkey, undrained tomatoes, beans & chocolate. Simmer, stirring occasionally, over low heat 20 minutes.Top each bowl with dollop of sour cream, sprinkle of cheddar & green onions. Makes 10-12 servings

cheddar cheese
fresh green onion
